Our puppies and dogs are raised and reside in our home; climate controlled during each season. Exercise and training is part of the daily schedule, along with time on the couch relaxing and swimming and retrieving in the pond when weather permits! Dogs that are social with each other are allowed to play together.

About our Facility
Nachtwaechter German Shepherds/Fido and Freud is located on four acres in northeastern Connecticut, easily accessible from 395. Our dogs and our boarding and board and train guests enjoy life in the country, with gorgeous, lush foliage, surrounded by hayfields and woods. Outside, we have spacious 5' x 15' kennels, with aluminum roofing, 5' of Trex Composite Decking, and 10' of pea gravel. Strong winds are blocked to the left and from behind, with a view of the property and pond in front of the kennels for the dogs' visual stimulation. They also enjoy the company of Sofie and Little Bear, our Thoroughbred mare and Miniature Pony gelding. Fresh water is supplied continuously from stainless steel buckets and kennels are cleaned daily with our pressure washer then disinfected daily with our Wysi Wash system.
